Getting INKED.... EEEEEEEEE !!!!!!

I've thought about getting a tattoo for years, just never wanted to have the discussion with my doctor. Why discuss a tattoo with your doctor? Well I have MVP, Mitro Valve Prolapse of my heart valve, so before anything that deals with any kind of blood I have to pre-medicate with antibiotics. Well this year for my B-day I wanted a tattoo, so seeing that I have the coolest new Doctor, I decided to ask. He didn't like the idea being that he has a daughter my age, but she did this when she was 18, he sighed and wrote a prescription with a smile. Well that was a month ago, I still never made it in for a tattoo, I really don't like taking meds. Well it just so happened I got a small ear infection no real pain just bothersome so he gave me meds, just happened to be the same script as for the tattoo, opportunity KNOCKING here. So I set out to get INKED...
First place I tried to go to couldn't this week disappointed...YES... but I wasn't giving up, I made a re-design of my tattoo, I wanted something smaller called a local shop and the tattoo artist stated he should be able to today (friday) YES...appt. 6:30pm last night.
Easy Breezy, I set out last night in my sexy Zebra shoes, husband in tow for support. Which I didn't need. Tattoo, was amazing felt like a bee sting during the process. No real pain, the artist was so awesome and friendly, kept asking if I was okay or wanted a break. Which was so sweet of him... :)

Funny thing, I said before going I'm only getting one tattoo, I will not load my body with ink. While laying on that table, I was already planning my next piece...LOL... I will have my uncaged heart tattooed to the back of my neck next.
I had a antique skeleton key with the words "To Bliss" underneath, tattooed on my left ankle. The key to me represents so much, The key to life, love, knowledge, bliss, past and present. I didn't just want anything on my body I wanted something that represent of piece of ME.

Its looks like red ink in the photo, but the inks are shades of brown I will post better photos after it heals up. Sorry for the crappy images these are from Gunny's Cell phone. Enjoy life to the fullest every-time, L

That is a great tat! :) Like you, I've always kinda wanted one but want to wait until I know for sure it is a meaningful piece of me! Very cute idea, I like yours!
