I'm not sure what happens, I know we get older. But why do we lose interest in the things we loved as a kid. I took the girls to the Fair this past weekend. And the only thing I enjoyed was looking at the yummy cool foods, candy apples, cotton candy and caramel confetti marshmallows and more.
I won't let my girls ride the rides, they just creep me out. Really not so sure if its the rides or some of the men running them...really just creeps me out. So ya, I take my kids to see the animals, the art and the pumpkins. I know weird right, but I really don't mind I'm okay with weird really I don't think they missed out. They got to have some cool treats and see some neat things. I'm just not into Fairs the way I was as a kid. Plus this year I just didn't feel like it. Next year I've decided to let them ride and get over the creepy men thing. I figure, I got to do it as a kid so I will bite my cheek and let them ride....LOL...but I'm still gonna think they are creepy. :)
I found out too, my bargain shopper mind won't let me get over the facts here people. I mean really 4.25 for a caramel apple I can buy 3 at the store for 2.99 that's a dollar an apple. Or that a Corn dog is 2.50 and I can buy a box of like 20 at Sam's for 8.00 dollars. My bargain shopper mind gets in the way. They see food and I see rip off...LOL.. but of coarse I buy it while I'm there, but I did wait till I got to the store for my caramel apples. I also found out sprinkles are better when your a kid, because I'd rather have my apple with the crushed peanuts... :)
Sprinkles make for pretty pictures... enjoy the eye candy, I did while I was at the fair, L

Hello. Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. Yes, I would love to make your daughter a pendant. You could do either a 2 or 2 1/2 inch crystal. Feel free to email us on the address on our blog and we can work out the details. Thank You!!!
I know right!!! I can't even go on rides anymore after the pregnancies...i get REALLY sick :(
The animals and games are more up our alley. But as a kid i remember the F.U.N. i had on all the roller coasters and carousel rides. Oooo to be a kid again.
And yes...what's with the prices these days. It's cheaper to eat prior to going and stuffing candy & water into your purse. Rip-off at the fair is what it is.
P.S. Thanks for your comment about my son getting better. It means a lot to us.
You're so funny! I see where you're coming from though, the rides at small fairs kinda creep me out too...who put those rides together?...did they do it right?...is it safe? I think we just have to live though, right? Let them ride the rides! :) The candied apples look delish and just have me craving fall and all the yumminess that come with it!
hugs and smooches
love u
