We were heading out to Aladdin's for Wine and Dinner...Middle Eastern food never had it. Hummus, what is that? eeeeeeeeeeeeeee......We were greeted at the door by the most friendly staff, where I was quickly informed they would not let me chicken out on trying something great. I was completely lost looking at the menu, it all seemed so different and I had no idea how it was going to taste. So I ordered a new special and the waitress was delighted with my choice. And let me tell you it was amazing. My girlfriend Kari ordered a bottle of Riesling for all of us, I wasn't so sure about drinking, I haven't drank anything in almost 2 years. It usually doesn't fair well with me....LOL.... But the Riesling was delicious. The Food paired with the sweet Riesling was super. The conversation was great. Kari and Joy had me rolling laughing. We stayed till the restuarant was empty and closing. It was a wonderful evening and Riesling was so delish that I brought a bottle home. YUMMO.
Things I learned
- Always Go out when given the opportunity
- Middle Eastern Food Rocks
- One Glass of Wine is fine when not drinking for years, avoid a second for a while ( lesson learned)
- Wine + Lisa = Shocked words slipping from my mouth... :) OMG did I really say that outloud
- Drink lots of water all night
- Wine + Friends = strange looks from other people in the restaurant
- Drinking on no sleep = going to the restroom and stumbling into the wall.... LOL
- Mom's Night out should Be Mandatory
