Friday = Kidnapping ------------- Saturday=Movie

   Friday Kidnapping.....
So Friday night I'm standing in my kitchen watching something really gross unfold I will spare you the details. While my two daughters are play fighting with one of Gunny's Recruiters. The noise is loud, Gunny's project disgusting and my is Mind SCREAMING..."someone PLEASE SAVE ME NOW..." When the phone rings, the voice on the other end says "We are kidnapping YOU" my response "really I'm in my jammies"  then voice on the other end, "that's okay, it will make it more interesting"  Me, "Where are we Going?"  the response of my caller, "Don't know are you game"... Me, "Oh, YES...call me when your on Your way I'm throwing on some jeans and will be ready in a few"
    Wow talk about the Law of Attraction I didn't but just finish the Please save me now sentence in my head when the phone rang...WaHoo... SAVED... I sat down the phone announced to the room, "I'm out here I'm being kidnapped" and ran for my room for jeans and blouse. No really, who gets excited about being kidnapped, Me of course, you know the desperate housewife, the one struggling to start a career, living a Military life, stuck at home 24/7 with 2 kids at each others throats all the time, two barking dogs, mounds of Laundry and house cleaning. That's who gets excited about a kidnapping.
   Well of coarse, I'm only excited because my kidnappers are my Girlfriends Kari and Joy. And I delight in their company and conversation no matter where we go. Which on this night was back to our Local Mediterranean Restaurant for dessert and drinks. Where we talked, laughed, had a small bite to eat and closed the restaurant once again. These small moments of escape are like diamonds in the rough to me...Thank you ladies for another delightful evening.

  Saturday Movie and Review
  So Saturday Afternoon, I sat off with my girls to go see A Christmas Story with Jim Carrey. I love the Story, I really couldn't wait to see this movie, I was just a little disappointed, the movie looked very real, I love digital graphic movies, I love the technology,...but it just felt like it was missing something, I wanted just a little more,  more beauty at the end. I loved the flying scenes, I felt like I was flying too, it was wonderful. I guess that will depend on how your theater is set up, we were directly in-front of the screen not down, looking up at the screen. I fully enjoyed the movie, just wanted a little more not sure what, you know just had that feeling that something was missing. My oldest daughter loved it, she's 11 and Madd who is 4 said it was scary but she like it anyway.
  So would I suggest seeing the movie yes, it's a wonderful start to the holiday season, I'd give it 3.5 stars out of 5...

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend I know we did... enjoy all the moments capture as many as you can, L

I'm so glad you were kidnapped and that you had a good night out. Thank goodness for the women friends in our lives!

We had friends who thought the movie was a bit on the scary side. I feel a little hesitant in taking my kids.

Yes, I was worried about Madkat once it got started, she sunk in her seat so I asked her if she wanted me to hold her and she said yes, she snugged into me and watched then, but she is easily scared and likes to play it up to... :)
