Pomegranates POM

I have been drinking the juice of this wonderful fruit for years but never ventured to eat one. Well the Cellist had a sleepover on Saturday and her girl friend had a baggy full of these little kernels or "arils" the fruit inside the Pomegranate, the girls loved them, so while shopping at Sam's Club on Saturday I picked up 4 for 7.88. Thank goodness they came with a little booklet with directions on how to prepare them for eating, seeing that I was clueless as to what to do with them.
Well let me say its a fruit you have to work for...wowwie, but oh so yummy once all the arils are removed, cleaned and strained  they are really delicious.

My mid-morning snack... They look like red kernels of corn but are sweet and juicy.

Check out POM's Website for more on these Delicious fruit and all its health benefits.

Love Pomegranates! Have some great childhood memories of getting them out a tree in my grandma's yard. They are a lot of work but worth it! I have an amazing Pomegranate Martini recipe if you ever want to try it.

Another thought . . . how could you not love them for their color alone?!

I'm the exact same way...I've always drank the juice and teas w/ pom juice, but never actually had the fruit. So, last week I bought one and they are YUMMY!
